Cheer Leader Latest

Kelly Christopher, our star reporter, did some more undercover reporting last night (the 30th). It seems that the coming of the graffitti at the same time as news of the cheerleaders appointment is no coincidence. Whilst the football loving folk of Kingston were watching England, oh so narrowly lose to the Argies, it seems the cheer leaders were out having another training session, this time in broad daylight.

Ms. Christopher says "I went down to Kingsmeadow bar last night, expecting to have a few G&T's and to watch the match, when I heard some noise. My suspiscions that it would be the cheer leaders again were proved right and as some people thought my last report was a hoax I decided to try and get closer to the action and take a better photo. There was no-one around, so the girls, and contrary to the popular conception of cheerleading, a few boys, were running around. Their actions didn't look so organised as last week, but I could hear a hissing noise. I immediatley presumed that they were practising how to greet the Woking and Sutton teams as they came on to the pitch but as I came closer I saw that they were holding cans of spray paint. It appears that Paul Cox had left the girls whilst he went to watch the football. As the girls had no interest in the match they instead proceeded to spray graffitti on the walls. I was shocked. I took this picture as they posed afterwards proud of their work. I was appalled, and had to send it to K's Web straight away"

Well thank you once again, Kelly. What will they do next? Watch this space to find out.

Gasps of disbelief and dispair were heard around the Royal Borough last week-end (the 20th to 22nd) as rumours were flying that Kingstonian FC are going to have a cheer leading team at all home games next season. Unfortunately this rumour is true. K's director Paul Cox has managed to persuade Geoff Chapple that a cheer leading squad is a good idea for the, and I quote "most progressive non-league club in the south of England", even though this idea has been tried and has failed at a number of other Conference, and league clubs in recent years.

Although it is reported to have been a new idea, K's Web have heard rumours that the Cheer Leading team has already been selected, and on the night of the 22nd June, while the football loving folk were elsewhere watching the England game, the new cheer leading squad were out training on the flood-lit Kingsmeadow astroturf.

So we sent our reporter, Ms. Kelly Christopher, to see if she could dig up any information on this accusation.

Ms. Chrsitopher says; " It was absurd. I saw a number of young girls and, contrary to the popular conception of cheerleading, a few boys, running around at Kingsmeadow. Training for a forthcoming athletics match, I presumed, but as I got closer, I saw they were all chewing gum, and singing ludicrous chants. On closer inspection one could see they were wearing replica Kingstonian strips, only with no sleeves and frilly skirts, much like the kind of thing David Harlow used to wear. Some of the songs were more than four words in length, most unlike the songs sung by many K's fans, so I decided to investigate further. I used a long range camera (I can do this because I am free-lance and not restricted to do so in the wake of any national outcry). And I took the following picture. I work for fun. This wasn't fun, but I feel the public should know."

Thank you Kelly and we're all sorry you had to go through that experience.
Remember this is where you saw it first.

Is this really the sort of thing we want to see at Kingsmeadow? Well, we will be seeing it anyway, so get used to it!

Any resemblance to factual events are entirley intentional but of course not serious, and David Harlow has never been accused of acting like a girl. If random names sound like those of K's dircetors then that is, of course entirely coincidental.
